To configure an iCal sync in Holidu, go to Configuration > iCal & Synchronization for your property. Click Configure for your first sync, or Add new synchronization to connect another channel. Then paste the iCal URLs on both platforms and click Save. Your calendars will then share availability in both directions.

Connecting your calendar with other platforms keeps your availability up to date everywhere you list your property. When your dates match across channels, you lower the risk of double bookings. This article explains which channels Holidu supports, how to set up the import and export, and what to check if your sync does not work as expected.

Which channels can I sync with my Holidu calendar?

Holidu supports two-way iCal synchronisation with most major vacation rental platforms and property management systems. The table below shows the current status for each provider.

If the calendar you want to connect is not listed, check with that provider whether it supports two-way iCal synchronisation. We recommend that you always test the connection manually by creating a block on each calendar to confirm that it syncs correctly.

How do I import and export an iCal calendar in Holidu?

Your first sync and any additional syncs begin in the same place. The only difference is the button you click on the iCal & Synchronization page.

Scenario 1: First-time setup

If you have not connected any calendars yet, click Configure. Then select the name of the channel you want to sync from the list.

Scenario 2: Adding an additional sync

If you already have a synchronisation and want to connect another channel, click Add new synchronization. Then select the name of the new channel from the list.

Steps for import and export (same for both scenarios)

1. Log in to the other channel and find its iCal sync options. Locate your iCal URL (the export link).
2. In another browser window, log in to your Holidu account and select your property.
3. On the left-hand side under Configuration, scroll down and click iCal & Synchronization.
4. Click Configure (first-time setup) or Add new synchronization (additional sync). Then select the channel you want to sync from the list.
5. Follow the two steps on the setup screen:
   • Step 1 (Import): Paste the iCal URL from the other provider into the "Address of iCal" field.
   • Step 2 (Export): Copy Holidu's iCal URL and paste it into the iCal import section of the other provider's platform.
6. Click Save.

What should I know about Booking.com, Airbnb, and VRBO?

Each platform handles iCal exports differently. Check the notes below before you set up your sync.

• Booking.com: In the export settings on Booking.com, tick the box for Booked and Closed Dates. This makes sure that both confirmed bookings and manual blocks sync with Holidu. You can read the Booking.com iCal instructions.
