Connecting Feratel Deskline to Holidu keeps your prices, availability, and bookings in sync between the two systems, so you avoid double bookings and manual updates. This guide explains the setup steps, what data is exchanged, and how to confirm the connection is working.

What You Need Before You Connect

Before you start, make sure your property meets the requirements below. Skipping these checks is the most common reason the connection fails.

  • Your property is published on at least one Holidu channel.
  • You have an active listing with Feratel Deskline.
  • There are no existing API connections between Feratel and other property management software.
  • You have copied any existing manual blocks from your Feratel calendar into your Holidu calendar. Manual blocks in Feratel do not sync automatically.

How Do I Connect Feratel Deskline to Holidu?

To connect Feratel Deskline to Holidu, activate the Holidu interface in the Feratel Webclient, wait for the mapping codes from Feratel, and enter those codes in your Holidu account. The full process takes about 10 to 15 minutes, plus the time it takes for Feratel to send your email.

Step 1: Activate Holidu in Feratel Deskline

  1. Log in to the Feratel Deskline Webclient.
  2. In the left menu, go to Datenwartung (Data maintenance) and then Schnittstellenwartung (Interface maintenance).
  3. Click the tab Schnittstellen für automatische Datenwartung (Interfaces for automatic data maintenance).
  4. In the search bar, enter Holidu.
  5. Click Verbinden (Connect).
  6. Select the property or properties you want to connect, accept the Terms & Conditions, and click Änderungen speichern (Save changes).

Step 2: Get Your Mapping Codes from Feratel

After you save your changes, Feratel sends an email to you with a PDF attachment. This PDF contains your unique mapping codes. You need three codes to complete the connection. Keep this email until setup is finished.

Step 3: Enter the Mapping Codes in Holidu

  1. Log in to your Holidu account.
  2. Select the property you want to connect to Feratel.
  3. Go to the iCal & Synchronisation section.
  4. Click Configure, then select Feratel from the available connection options.
  5. Enter the three mapping codes from the Feratel email.
  6. Click Save.

What Data Is Synced Between Feratel and Holidu?

Feratel and Holidu exchange pricing and booking availability, but not property content. Understanding these differences helps you avoid calendar conflicts.

  • Prices: Prices you set in Holidu are sent to Feratel Deskline.
  • Bookings and availability: Booking blocks are exchanged in both directions.
  • Manual blocks: Manual blocks created in Feratel are not imported into Holidu. Add them directly in your Holidu calendar.
  • Other channels via iCal: Bookings from other channels connected to Holidu through iCal are exported to Feratel. Bookings from Feratel are not sent back through iCal. To share Feratel bookings with other calendars, use the iCal link provided by Feratel.
  • Photos and descriptions: Photos, descriptions, and property details are not exchanged. Keep this information up to date in both systems.

How Can I Check That the Connection Is Active?

You can confirm the connection from either system. The status in Holidu should read "Synchronization is active" once setup is complete.

Check in Holidu

Go to iCal & Synchronisation for your property. The status should show Synchronization is active. If it shows Pending, refresh the page and check again after a short wait.

Check in Feratel Deskline

Go to Schnittstellenwartung (Interface maintenance) and confirm that Holidu is listed as active.

Best Practices for a Reliable Feratel Connection

  • Check your manual blocks regularly in both systems to keep your calendar accurate.
  • Maintain property information separately in Holidu and Feratel Deskline.
  • Review prices in both systems after connecting to confirm they match.

What Should I Do If the Connection Does Not Work?

If the connection does not work, first check the three mapping codes against the PDF from Feratel, and confirm the status in both systems. Many issues are caused by a mistyped code or a status that has not updated yet. If the problem continues, contact your local Holidu team, who can help you troubleshoot.
